The difference between general engineering plastic raw materials and special engineering plastics
Basic knowledge of engineering plastics
Definition and scope of engineering plastic materials
Engineering plastics are plastics that can be used as structural materials. These plastics have a wide service temperature and a long service life, and can maintain excellent characteristics during use and can withstand mechanical stress.
Classification of engineering plastic materials
There are many classification methods for engineering plastics, which can be classified according to chemical composition, crystallinity, heat resistance, performance characteristics after heating, function or use.
Classified by purpose or function
General engineering plastics: polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), polyoxymethylene (POM), thermoplastic polyester (PBT and PET)
According to the chemical composition classification, it can be divided into two types: crystalline type and amorphous type.
According to heat resistance, it can be divided into general engineering plastics (use temperature is about 100-150 degrees) special engineering plastics (long-term use temperature is above 150 degrees)
